By taking LA City College online graduate classes, you may be able to complete your studies in fewer semesters, potentially saving both money and time. Graduates of online degree programs may go on to attend graduate school, and become successful professionals. Each class is recorded and stored on a server, which allows for instant playback of any class. This is extremely useful for students reviewing for exams, given the ability to replay difficult sections as many times as desired. Online education can open up the opportunity to take difficult courses that won't show up on your transcript, if you so choose. Alternatively, you can complete additional credits for a grade.

A few simple steps will help you start your own e-Commerce business. Doing business online is a great option to supplement your income while still a student. By registering a domain name, pointing the name servers to your hosting company, then building an active website in HTML or via a WordPress template, you're in the game. Similar to magazine page layout, website design includes the fields of graphic design, copywriting, and search engine optimization (SEO). Success is governed by two factors, visitor traffic and online sales conversions. There are many search engines which offer pay per click (PPC) advertising, with Google Adwords being the most popular.

Online Courses - MOOCs

LA City College pagenameGraduates with bachelors degrees earn an average of 60% more than employees with only a high school diploma, which adds up to more than an $800,000 difference over a lifetime. Pursue your career interests, not high-paying starting salaries, and your overall job earnings will reflect the enthusiasm that you bring to your work, increasing over time as you gain business experience. If you focus your prospective degree choice on salary alone, there is the risk that you may suffer early signs of burnout, and be forced to change careers.

Technical training programs are a low-cost alternative to attending college, and you might end up earning a lot of money as a highly-skilled, technical consultant, or by starting your own small business. Massive Open Online Courses are known as MOOCs, and offer a variety of learning platforms, utilizing cloud-based software and Google apps.

An online degree may be just as marketable as a college degree earned on campus. Udemy online learning, a site which allows anyone to build (or take) online courses, is a new startup with backing from the founders of Groupon. Khan Academy now offers over 3,900 micro-lectures available via YouTube. Coursera, another online-learning software platform, has millions of enrolled students around the world. Through MIT Open Courseware online classes, educators can improve development of their curricula, making their instruction more effective.

Technical Degree Programs

Which degrees will give you the best chances of landing a job after you graduate? Computer programming, business administration, and health care are among the fastest-growing job areas, according to The US Department of Labor. An associates degree is a two-year program that either results in an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree. It is often a general degree that is structured similarly to the first two years of a bachelors degree. Generally, the more math and science courses you take in your program, the more competitive a salary you will receive upon graduation. The greatest downside to an associates degrees in the job market is that you will be competing with individuals with bachelors degrees. Therefore, make sure you're comfortable in the niche you've chosen.

Although the cost of tuition has risen for most 4-year colleges and universities, the average community college student graduates with only a few thousand dollars of debt, compared to bachelors degree graduates. If you're planning on transferring to a four-year program anyway, an associates degree program can save you a lot of money in the first two years of your college education.

Business & Medical Job Listings

Although most jobs which pay six-figure salaries require a college degree, technical fields offer high salaries based more on ability than which school you graduated from. Students will impress future bosses more with an impressive portfolio than with an advanced degree, so practice your skills as a consultant for local companies. Candidates with prior industry experience are preferred by interviewers, so you resume must show a clear pattern of success over time, based on numeric results and personal achievements.

Students will receive classroom instruction and clinical training in a hospital setting. A 4-year BSN program allows students to further specialize in the areas of pediatrics, geriatrics and mental health. After completing your nursing education, you must be licensed by the state in which you'll be practicing, given that state boards of nursing each have specific certification requirements.
